country living 2010

today's the last day.....it's been a great weekend. soooo many people and the weather is turning out to be fantastic!! lots more detail later.

It's that time again!

Today we'll start packing up the shop and trucking our goodies to the Country Living Fair.

Such an awesome show!! The shopping, displays, food, entertainment and how to's from Country Living. It is soooooo worth it to find an afternoon (actually, you should clear your schedule for the entire day) for this show. Our Booth #114 across from the pretty lemonade wagon!

So fun to see something special from Bloomsbury Loft at such an awesome event...a wedding.
Colby asked me to make her a special flower for her hair using fabric pieces from her grandmothers dress and handkerchief. I can't think of a better way to incorporate some thing old, something new and something blue....love it!!

Love and ADORE our store, our neighbors, the park...

I just ADORE the wallpaper skirt in the mannequin, sculpted in high couture fashion by no less than our own Karla, and also ADORE, the loveliest and prettiest succulent gardens made using repurposed silver and pottery with vintage adornments to give them a touch of magic.

it's a new day at bloomsbury

The shop looks great!!!

Everything is so fresh and new. And when we say new we mean it feels new. Furniture, linens, accessories, display cabinets...everything feels new again in a different space. Especially this space, with all the beautiful windows. It's amazing how good natural light feels.

it's almost that time....

It's crazy getting ready for a grand opening. A little like preparing for Christmas. So many things on your mind to get done. Completely overwhelming, thinking, thinking thinking all the time about what you'll get done tomorrow.
Checking your list over and over to see what else needs to be added and what you can check off.




And the exhaustion...it's all so mentally and physically draining. (but in an exciting way)
We're been through all those stages....and still living through them, but we're really getting to the exciting part. We're going to open this week,most likely Wednesday. We'll just finish what we can and open the doors to all those people walking by....so many people walking around in the short north....yippee!!




And then....we'll have a grand opening. An exciting little party to celebrate the new home of Bloomsbury Loft!!

We'll keep you updated on when we will be opening the new shop.....We're really hoping for the first of September. And once we get going and calm down a little bit we'll have a grand opening!!
