This was a busy weekend for us, we participated at the Granville Arts and Wine Festival, and to our surprise we met with our good friend and photographer extraordinare, Amy Parrish. She kindly posted a wonderful comment and the most beautiful pictures about us in her blog and facebook page. Amy we love you too!

In my way back from lovely Savannah!

So I went to Savannah to pick up my daughter from college and it was really fun to go back again, I really missed @ Home, Liz Demos's store was a jewel I treasured. I visited my other fave TheParis Market and Brocante, how pretty and interesting. The highlight of my trip, my hotel, I was surprised by the comfort and stylish style of this Marriot branch, Springhill suites, I love it affordable and sophisticated!

... it feels like home here,

And then my hotel so modern and warm at the same time!

Memorial Day Treat!

I love this cream!!!!!!

Strawberry Cream Cake!!!!

Ingredients

6 store bought or handmade cake shells

Favorite fruit jam or use Nuttela (hazelnut spread)

Heavy whipped cream

1 cream cheese @ room temperature

6 tablespoons of powdered sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract or amaretto for an almond flavored

Fresh sliced strawberries

Steps

Mix cream cheese and sugar until creamy smooth

Fold whipped cream in cream cheese mixture and cool for two hours

Spread 1 tablespoon of the jam or choice of spread on bottom of shell

Scoop cream mix over cake shell and top with slice strawberries

Enjoy!

This cream mix is great for layer cakes with lady fingers

or use as topping in any fruit or dessert.

Fresh as a Daisy

New treasures are coming in and it feels great. First from that awesome barn sale (you may have heard about it in the shop or on our facebook page) so fun and full of great finds.

And to top it off, a major shake up in the shop. It feels great! At home or in the shop, we love to move things around and add new. Even the things that have been hanging around for way too long look good again.
