What a week!

Oh yes, wide load is what I had on my trip to Hudson last Friday. I had so much fun visiting with my old friend and former Bloomsbury girl, and now Home Girl, Gina Bishop. I was so lucky to visit on the day that this fabulous barn sale was having it's preview. I was in heaven, the goodies were left and right I was so lucky to share this day with Gina it was so refreshing. Thank you Gina for sharing this treasures with me. And to everyone keep your eyes open in the next few days we will have a preview of Gina's own Barn Sale, you should not miss this one, on the week of June 17th to the 20th.

Attention everyone move out of the way, we are taking over the barn, and it's final!

And my sweet Fritz is enjoying one of my treasures, oh this boy loves textiles as much as his mama!

School's Out

Summer is such a relaxing time of year.

Enjoy meals outdoors with family and friends.

Pick fresh flowers for the table.

Bike ride around the neighborhood

And go on some road trips.

How fun to get in the "van" and just leave town for a weekend away.

Summer leaves open so many possibilities.

We are excited that they chose to re-introduce the Powell shopping, eating scene into this month's issue.

I'm sure Bloomsbury Loft is one of their favorite places to shop and experience fresh new ideas. I know it's mine. Even though I'm in and out often, I feel so much inspiration from the creativity blossoming there.

Hi! I am the girl who bought the sewing storage ottoman that you covered in Amy Butler fabric! I thought you might like to see how it fits into the sewing room that I made in an unfinished part of my basement. I also attached some pictures of some of the things that have come out of my sewing room. You will probably see a few things that have come out of your store, too! ;)

Fun in the workshop

What a great way to start the day.....learning something new.

Our students had fun making circus flags in this Bloomsbury workshop.

We always like to have cookies and milk. It keeps the creativity flowing.

These flags are great for celebrating anything from a picnic to a birthday party to just adding fun to your space. Once you get started....it's hard to stop.

Our next scheduled class is Thursday evening.

Throw pillow re-do. We'll recover one of your pillows using any of our great fabrics.

These two chairs are staying with me.... So cute on our deck. And comfy too.
I bought the iron table base at a flea market a few years ago not knowing what I could use for a top. Finally, this tray found it's way outside and it's perfect.
So fun when things come together like that.
And so much more pleasing than buying everything new.

Shopping Spree....(with a buget)

We had so much fun shopping yesterday!! The weather was perfect and the treasures were everywhere.

There's just nothing like the thrill of a great flea market. Not knowing what exactly your looking for... but the complete thrill when you know you've stumbled on something awesome.

Like these chairs for example. I'm going to cover them with some great fabric and they will be beautiful on the porch at the shop.

These drawers are so cool with the numbers on the side. Beth snatched this awesome lamp. The color is "sweet"

Shopping with friends who share your passion is the best!

Fun at the Market

The weekend Powll Street Market was great!

It was so nice to see so many people stop in.

Who doesn't love a day of treasure hunting?

These girls just couldn't be stopped...

I guess when your opening a new shop, lots of "hunting" is required.
